Kestrel TK
Years in the planning - now a reality!
After 6 years of waiting, heart break and bad luck, finally my Friesian dream has come true. There were times when I thought I was just not meant to own a Friesian horse. But now I know if you want something bad enough, no matter how big the walls in front of you, with the help of some special people and if your belief is strong enough, you can do it!
Our Friesian filly arrived in Tasmania on the 9th of October 2003. Kestrel was conceived in the Netherlands, her dam, the ster mare "Nienke fan Faldens' was exported to Australia by Dick & Lynn Jenkin in Dungog, NSW. Kestrel was born in Australia on the 16th of February 2003.
Kestrel is the only foal currently in the country from the magnificent FPS approved studbook stallion 'Abe 346'.
She was presented at 6 months of age in April 2003 to the official FPS studbook judges who flew to Australia to assess registered Friesian Horses. To our delight Kestrel was awarded a 2nd premi, of which only the top 20% of foals obtain.
Strutting her stuff!
This picture is of Kestrel when I visited her at her breeders property in NSW. How could I refuse!
